A Little Story About Me
I grew up in a beautiful city of Riga, Latvia. My mother encouraged my creativity and my interest in art.
I always felt a need for drawing, but unfortunately, I did not have enough talent in this area.
That is why I was coloring ready to use pictures. Then all of a sudden, I had an idea, that I can do the same thing with the threads. And that was only the beginning!
I was always wandering, what the artist is feeling when he is drawing his own creations, where he is getting his inspiration? And so, I tried to embroider pictures. In these precious moments, when I work on my creations, I experience great satisfaction!
If you can only imagine how fascinating, exciting and hard it is! When after first strokes of needle you feel unsure of a result. You may not believe, but many times, I had to start all over, when my job was almost finished, and redo everything again, day after day…
Finally, the last stroke of a needle and my work is ready. Happy emotions overflow me.
All my works are holding inside them the state of my soul and emotions that I experienced at those moments when I make them!
My works cover different periods of my life. They reflect joyful moments as well as disappointments and even sadness…
Unnoticeably, picture embroidering overgrows from a simple hobby into something bigger and continues to accompany my life until present day. Therefore, my dear friends, I decided to share with you with just a small portion of my creations. Also, I would like to take a moment to say a big Thank You to everybody who supported and help me throughout the whole process, during many years!
